This will just be a quick update. I'm staying the night next to Trudie's side in ICU. I'm using the computer in the ICU Family Lounge to post this.
The surgery went well. It started later than we had thought (1:30 PM ) and ended about 7:30 PM. The doctor said it all went well. She is going to be very sore and it will be a painful rehab but he was please at how the reconstruction went.
I'll post more when I can.

Wonderful! It you see a large number of hits to your blog last night, probably 10 or 15 of them were mine. I kept looking for an update. Trudie's cancer is bad, but I know of two people who recently had rare or aggressive cancers and they are both well and completely healed now - one of them had a tumor miraculously disappear. Trudie will be counted in that number when this is over. I hope to come see her in a few weeks. Much love, Laura in Nashville
